Charity, according to Benedict

It’s so surreal to imagine that Jorgio  did translations for the Pope from German?  My experience with being catholic is more surreal than the Frenchman Andre Breton!  Simply surreal. Now, I can see clearly what was once obscure….

L’Osservatore Romano published the preface written by Pope Benedict XVI to the book by Cardinal Paul Josef Cordes, president emeritus of the Pontifical Council “Cor Unum,” The aid does not fall from the sky. Caritas and Spirituality (Siena, Ignatius Press, 2011, 160 pages, € 16, translated by Jörg Schwipper, “Christianity and Culture” 16) 

Benedict XVI: “In the second chapter of the Acts of the Apostles, St. Luke describes the early Church with four features that characterize the life:” They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers “(Acts 2: 42).
